Parks and Natural Resources

Our coastal community offers spectacular ocean views and public access to long stretches of white, sandy beaches for walking, fishing and surfing. Canoeing and kayaking enthusiasts can leisurely explore the beauty and nature found in over three thousand acres of marshes and rivers.

The area is a popular destination for bird watchers.  Maine Audubon has a seasonal Nature Center located on the Scarborough Marsh.

In addition, Scarborough has many miles of trails and conservation land for hiking, biking, skiing, snowshoeing and horseback riding with some popular sites being Fuller Farm, Eastern Trail and the Scarborough Wildlife Sanctuary.
